Eric Lanning ‘93

Lanning joined TKE in Fall of 1992 during his Freshman year at the University of Washington. He was Athletic Chairman and Prytanis during his time a UW. He has served as Vice President and Treasurer of Lambda Chapter Building Corporation TKE over the past 12 years.

Lanning graduated from UW in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics-Mathematical Emphasis. He started as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in September of 1997 in Madison.

In 2013, he transitioned his practice from Morgan Stanley to Wells Fargo Advisors. He is both a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).

Lanning lives in Madison with my wife, Lynn, and daughter, Sarah (age 11).

The most impactful aspect of his time at TKE was the diverse group of men that he met, worked with, and befriended. This diverse group of ethnic, religious, economic and cultural backgrounds added to his UW experience in immeasurable ways. These were men that I would not have the opportunity to meet had he not joined Lambda Chapter. Learning about his fellow Fraters allowed me to develop into a better communicator and leader.
